The Mask Never Lies
An exhibition putting forward an underground history of the last century and a half under the sign of the mask, a mask that infiltrates into the political landscape as an instrument at the service of perverse uses of power or as a tool for building identity in activism and social struggles
The idea of a fingerprint, combined with the mask, expresses the contradiction between hiding and identifying implied in the title of the exhibition
It also has the basic and direct tone characteristic of activist communication and is an image so iconic that it brings together the diverse exhibited aesthetics: from the Ku Klux Klan to Pussy Riot, passing through Mexican fighters, Masonry, Subcomandante Marcos or Anonymous
